To all London FBU branches

The FBU is now in receipt of the communication from Assistant Commissioner Andy Barrett, which was sent to all staff on Thursday by email and teleprinter.

Members appear to be confused by the communication and have been contacting local officials for advice as it suggested that all brigade appliances should remain on the run at the change of watch.

Following consultation with AC Barrett a further communication will now be sent to all staff today giving the required clarification that has been sought from members in respect of keeping appliances on the run at the change of watch.

Meanwhile, should any members still have concerns then they should first contact local branch and Borough Officials for advice, should this not resolve the matter then members should contact the regional office on 020-7359-3638.

Please also be aware that the Regional Office is closed at weekends, all Branch, Borough Officials and branches should have Regional Officials contact details on notice boards.
